I am surprised the whole house fan hasn't come up.  In my opinion it blows the ceiling fan out of the water - although requires a little more thought and time to utilize properly.

It did, it was mentioned above.  Not as effective as I'd hoped it to be and it has the extra downside of sucking a ridiculous amount of dirt and allergens into the house.  With my new much more efficient HVAC system, I'm planning on leaving the insulation (from the Winter) on my whole house fan all Summer and just using A/C.

Slightly more expensive($300 for a system) you can install a Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV). A HRV will bring in fresh air into your home and exhaust air from your home while recovering 80% of heat/cold energy in your air. When the system is tuned correctly you pressurize your home, eliminating air infiltration from gaps and cracks in your home exterior.

And there is also the RH % in your home. 75 degrees with 90% humidity is not very comfortable, however that same 75 degrees with 30% humidity isn't that bad.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
