What to do...
« on: July 09, 2013, 07:17:53 PM »
While I don't think I can consider myself mustache-worthy, I think I have a good handle on things compared to average. Just wanted to get some thoughts if I'm missing doing something investment wise though. Here's some numbers.

Age: ~30
Salary: ~60K
Bank: 15K
401K: ~80K
Roth: ~60K
Mtg: ~160K @ 4.375
Stdnt Loan: ~8K @ 1.875%

I missed out on refi'ing the Mtg under 3% for a 15yr after Bernanke spooked everyone unfortunately. Currently doing 6% to the 401k to get the full match, and maxing out the roth (haven't yet this yr). Paying min on student loan. Paying a little extra on the Mtg depending on bills/cash flow during the month. Anything to to, not to do? On the right track? Any suggestions?

Looks like you're on the right track. I'd be focusing on spending less so you can invest more.

You are doing better than I am. I'm 31 and was making about 50k before being laid off. My retirement accounts add up to less than 40k. Though I only have 92k mortgage and just paid off my student loans. Also have another 15k invested in a business venture that I doubt I will ever get back fully.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
