What should I buy at Bed Bath and Beyond?
« on: May 02, 2023, 06:31:49 AM »
I have a $25 gift card that someone gave me several years ago. And I haven't bothered to go to a store in all that time. Is there anything worth getting? Do they sell cleaning supplies? Is there a cheap kitchen gadgets I never knew I needed?

I'm honestly considering just giving the card away on the local Facebook group. I'm not sure it's worth my time and energy to try to get to a store.

Yikes, use that gift card asap!

Lots of shelters and charities like to get towels and sheets and stuff,  if you can't find anything you need.

They’re starting to close all their stores, so either go soon or give that card away.

You can always buy a gift to give someone in the future, if nothing else. A candle or something simple. Or blow it on candy at checkout.

I don’t know what you own or what you like, so it’s hard to advise.

We dropped into our local store when everything was half off.

I still didn't find any bargains.

For $25, you might find yourself a nice new toilet brush or a hand towel. These prices are why they're going out of business.

Give the gift card to the next panhandler you see.

Buy some glass storage containers that can go in freezer and fridge.

This is the most useful thing that we use in our house as we bulk cook for freezer and refrigerator and so these are very useful. And I can never have enough as I tend to give food to friends in these containers and mostly, I don't bother about getting them back as they could use it as well.

I got microfiber washcloths and used them to replace my disposable towels for many tasks.  Back when I bought them, several years ago, it was a bundle of 10 or so for a really good price, since they were always on the 50% coupon.

The towels are still in great shape, I even keep one in the car for the dash boards and windshield etc.

But then, those sorts of things might all be gone!

If a liquidator has stepped in, they may not accept gift cards. Whatever you decide, do it fast.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
