I've always liked jettas. I bought a beater 98 tdi last winter for $125 with 298,000 miles and drove it for three months and sold it for $1100. I'd love another one. It I'm not sure how that will go with the diesel issues... 
that said, that seems a little pricey, but not insane.

He is above clean NADA retail, which is ~6,700. I'm going to offer him 6,500. If he does not bite I will offer him the 6,700. If he does not bite, I walk.
