Title: Thinking of buying a car that has been in an accident
Post by: RocketSurgeon on June 17, 2016, 10:52:45 AM
My current car is on it's last legs, and about an hour away a dealer is selling a 2014 Nissan Versa with 15k miles for $1,900. The carfax report says that it was in an accident, hit on the left side, and had to be towed. It sounds like a great deal otherwise, but I am not particularly car experienced. Would people who have that experience consider this deal? I'm hoping to go out there tomorrow and (if it's still there) will certainly insist on a test drive and carefully examine the left side. Is there any particular red flags or warning signs I should look for? Thanks for any help!

Edit: Welp, they just called me back to tell me the actual price was $10,900. Oh well.
