Tempur-Pedic mattress decision
« on: January 14, 2021, 08:41:13 AM »
Has anyone had experience with a Tempur-Pedic mattress getting less "hard" over time? I love how cushioned and cloud-like I feel once I've been in it for a while, but the first few minutes at night are pretty brutal. It's so dense that it almost hurts to lay down on it!

p.s. I'm halfway through a 30-day supposedly no risk trial and I'm struggling with whether to keep it.

They get firmer when it's colder. Do you keep your bedroom cold?

My apartment is kept warm and my tempur mattress is always soft. My mom keeps her place freezing and hers is like a rock for the first few minutes.

Funny you mention that --- yes my bedroom is quite chilly!

That's your culprit then.
My mom got a space heater and heats up her room for a bit before going to bed so that the mattress isn't as stiff.

Yes. We keep it pretty cool in the winter and it takes a few minutes of body heat before the mattress softens up and makes a comfy little nest.
