Switching Vanguard Funds
« on: June 11, 2017, 11:30:07 AM »
Hi everybody,

I currently have my entire Roth IRA (which are all my investments) sitting in Vanguard's Target Retirement 2055 Fund. I thought this was fine, but I've been seeing around that these funds might be too conservative. I'm 27 so I am not opposed to risk right now. For what it's worth, the rate of return on my IRA has been 7.9% since I opened it in December of 2013. Any suggestions as to what I should move my money to (or if I should move it at all)? Thank you!

Take a look at other familys of target funds, especially looking that the mix for 2015, 2020, and 2025. Your fund will mirror these as you approach your target date. You will see that Vanguard is a more aggressive family of target funds. Is that right for you? You decide.
