Source for Mustachian Priced Screen Printed T-Shirts?
« on: August 14, 2015, 12:30:09 PM »
Our city hosts an annual Community Service Day and we typically order about 500 T-shirts. We've tired every good color our current supplier offers and like the idea of tie-dyed shirts this year, but they are too spendy for our budget. We prefer 100% cotton as we want people to wear them around the community year-round. Does anyone have a supplier to recommend? We have about six weeks lead time and camera ready graphics. Thanks, Mustachians!

Yes. Check out Threadbird at http://www.threadbird.com/. They have a lot of good options and the price is low. How many colors are in your design?

I used to work for a screen printer. If you want a nice 100% cotton shirt, choose the Anvil 980; they're a lighter weight than the standard Gildans and I feel like the quality is better. Plus you can tear out the tags, which is always nice.

Be sure your graphics really are camera-ready - they need to be vectors and not a JPG. And let me know if you have any more questions that I can answer for you.

We only use black for our t-shirts, so one color. This is our fifth year, so I believe all of our graphics are camera-ready. It's never been in my scope of responsibility, but when I saw the estimates for this year, the Mustachian in me knew we could do better. Thanks for your advice, I'm heading for threadbird right now...Thanks so much for responding.

You're welcome - I'm happy to help you out!

The prices at Threadbird for the Anvil 980s are around $5 apiece for what you're looking at. That's a really good deal, especially for a shirt that you're going to give away.

If your graphics are in a CorelDraw or Adobe Illustrator format, then they're vectors. Anything else, not so much. Let us know how they turn out!

Looks like their pricing/selection is very good, but we kind of have our hearts set on tie-dye this year, and I don't see anything on their site. Still looking...
