Thanks, that was a nice surprise! I thought MoneyTips only refreshed the date on their site. They must have added it onto a content farm or some sort of affiliate network.
Waaaay back at FinCon13, Michael Dubrow wanted volunteers for video interviews. I sneaked into the hospitality suite (along with a few rockstar bloggers and financial advisors who are earning 6-7-figure incomes) and took my turn in the chair. I got to watch Jeff Rose go through his interview first. I was totally at ease when I sat down to do my part. Michael and I clicked because he's lived on Maui and he now runs a VC firm (along with MoneyTips). He's a professional videographer so he made us all look good on camera while handing out a lot of tips to the bloggers who do their own videos.
They quietly posted it on their site in early 2014 and we all forgot about it.
It starts out with military retirement info but then segues into Reserve/National Guard retirements and ways to achieve financial independence even after just one military service obligation.
No scripts, although I think Michael had jotted down a few questions on his index card. I think it's the best interview I've ever done, and we did it all in one take. I hope I can do an interview like that again someday, but this one should certainly be good for a few years!
