Quick resume question
« on: November 13, 2017, 08:51:15 PM »
I’m working on a second degree in a new field and am beginning to apply for low level positions in the new field.  I worked for the same employer in the same job from 2003-2008.  I then was a stay at home mom until 2013, but filled in on rare occasion in the same job...some years not at all.  I then returned to the job in 2013 until now.  How should I reference this on my resume?

- List your accomplishments like you usually would.  You don't need to list the rare occasional work at all, and I wouldn't, since you have much better recent job experience and you're going in to a new field anyway.  You could mention it in your cover letter if you want to, like "after a career break and going back to my old industry, I have found that I really enjoy working in XYZ, got a degree, looking for new work, blah, blah etc."
