Title: Quick question about allowable posting date for 2018 tax year Roth IRA contrib
Post by: Sojourner on April 14, 2019, 06:11:20 PM
I messed up, slipped my mind.  Today is April 14 and tomorrow is the deadline to make a Roth IRA contribution for 2018.  Even if I initiate the transaction today, the funds would need to ACH transfer from another bank...that would probably take a couple days, so they wouldn't actually post to the IRA acct until after April 15.

Did I miss it, or any chance the initiation date of the transaction (14 Apr) would qualify as being timely?
