Quality mini umbrella
« on: September 06, 2017, 04:03:05 PM »
Which is a good mini-umbrella brand? I bought a $10 Totes one, and it broke the first time I opened it. So, I need something more expensive, I guess. This is for my kid, so I need it to work and to last at least a year.

I'm curious too. The only ones that have lasted for years, for me, have been the "standard" umbrellas (stick?) like this: https://unbreakableumbrella.com/wp-content/uploads/EasyRotatorStorage/user-content/erc_25_1361403926/content/assets/U-115_slide_1_black_400x300-0.jpg

I bought the Lewis and Clark umbrella recommended as the 'budget pick' by this guide http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-umbrella/

Actually, I've purchased it twice because I left one on the bus. Very happy with it!

Davek New York makes good quality umbrellas--but you pay for them. They make all different sizes. My "normal" size umbrella cost $89 (I know, I know)...but I've had it for five years so far without problems. I would have probably spent that much re-buying cheap umbrellas that broke over the years. I've tried London Fogs and Totes, and they didn't last long. Davek makes a mini-umbrella for $49. I would at least take a look at their website. davekny.com
