Free online music! Temporarily...or maybe...FOREVER!
« on: November 07, 2014, 04:10:30 PM »
MMM likes his Pandora, but there are other shows in town. Right in his home turf of Denver an upstart music service called MAD GENIUS RADIO launched just a few weeks ago. It has human music curators and an old school approach to radio combined with interesting technology.

The service is 100% free for the next few months after which they will charge $5/month, and if you register and are among the first 1000 listeners to listen to 1000 songs, you get a free lifetime membership.

You can do a Google search to learn more about the service.

I have absolutely no affiliation with this company or its management team.

Give it a go. Competition is so lovely good!

Thanks for the info, man!

Music junkie here. Currently a subscriber to Rhapsody for $10/month. Worth every friggin penny, although the Spotify subscribers tell me I should switch.

Cheers and happy listening.

I use spotify (for free, just the regular old ad-laden one, I don't pay for premium services.)  Anyway, I can pretty much find and listen to any music I want.  I don't use any of their "radio stations," I just play specific albums and playlists that i put together myself. It's so good, I almost feel like I'm stealing when I use it.

I've got Pandora and TuneIn on my phone, along with Spotify (paid). $12 a month for Spotify is well worth it to me, it sees plenty of use.
