Medicare Drug Card Choice?
« on: December 08, 2020, 10:21:51 AM »
Hi!
If I'm posting on the wrong thread, point me in the right direction. My husband, (super-fit/non smoking/drinking) is turning 65 and will enroll in Medicare Jan. 1. We have everything figured out, except Part D-the drug card.

He has taken no medications in his entire life! For that matter, he only goes to a Dr. once a year for a check up, so the Dr. can marvel at his health. What drug card should he sign up for? We know he needs to cover himself for any sort of catastrophic issue.

In advance, thanks for any input!

May I recommend Boomer Benefits? They were suggested to me by someone on here, and have been extremely helpful in getting my mom setup for January.

All Part D plans have to cover essentially the same base benefits.  Use the Medicare Plan Finder and take the cheapest plan available.  I haven't looked at specific plans in a few years, but Humana consistently had the cheapest Part D plans when I did.

If he had specific drugs he takes, you could input them and then pick the cheapest plan.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
