Manufactured spending strategies
« on: May 09, 2017, 10:22:38 AM »
Hi friends,

Was hoping you guys could share your strategies for manufacturing spending particularly with regards to hitting sign up bonuses. My girlfriend and I have been sending money back and forth on Venmo for rent and that has been helpful, however the 3% fee is kind of high.

Thanks!

People don't like to talk too much about stuff, as once it gets out it gets shut down.

Check out reddit/r/churning, FlyerTalk has a MS sub as well I think.

Prepaid cards -> money order -> (disposable) checking account is a known one. Do research before you try it though, only certain cards/shops are compatible.

Some banks let you do an initial deposit with a CC for no charge. Googling this will yield some websites that track the banks.

prepaid debit to money orders has worked well for me and depending on the card the fees incurred are typically offset by normal point accrual (if you go with a big prepaid card) not even considering the sign-up bonus
