So I could drone on and on about the dissatisfaction I have with my current career and the impending sense of doom, burnout, and desperation that I am feeling every day. So I spend a good amount of time brainstorming what steps I could take to improve my situation. I am prepared to stomach a sizable decrease in salary just to make a change.
Does anyone have any input on the Medical Billing & Coding Specialist career? The pros, as far as I can tell: It appears to be highly in demand, the starting salary for a noob isn't too bad, some employers appear willing to train from scratch, the work seems pretty straightforward and routine. Predictability and routine is actually something I am looking for in a career, high salaries be damned.
PS - I did a search for "medical billing" in this forum and all I got was dozens of posts about how pissed off people were due to medical billing errors. Maybe I can get in the field and help out! haha
