Title: How to sell software?
Post by: themashedup1 on January 02, 2017, 08:59:21 PM
Hey,

My goal at work was to reduce the amount of repetitive work I do. Being a teacher, that ends up being a lot a time and energy. I ended up creating a few spreadsheet that automates my day plans, report card comments and anecdotal records.

Is there any chance that I would be able to sell these as a product to a company?

You could try selling them on Teachers pay Teachers. It's usually used for lesson plans and the like, but if you have some systems that would make it easier, I'm sure people would be interested, they are most definitely your audience.https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/ (https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/)

You should check out: http://www.kalzumeus.com/ (http://www.kalzumeus.com/)

Patrick's site is just filled with great information. Plus, he made quite a bit of money creating and selling a bingo card generator. There may be lots of parallel strategies because his primary market was also teachers.
