Home Inspector
« on: August 04, 2015, 07:03:51 PM »
Reading the 50 jobs over $50,000 article.  I am currently working part time and staying home with our child, but would like to become a home inspector. I have a background in construction.  I can't seem to find any posts related to this topic.  I have found the coursework needed as prerequisite to sitting for the licensure exam in NC, but am still a little confused as to what happens after I have taken the course....do you work for someone else, or do you have to start your own business right away?
I would, ideally, only work part time and continue to stay home with our child part time.
Any home inspectors out there with advice for getting started?
