I'm starting a new blog as a side project and learning experiment (my background is in content writing/SEO, but I've never worked on my own sites).
The site is going to be about self employment, the gig economy, freelancing, and "the future of work". I'm thinking it'll be part how-to guide (i.e. "how to get started freelancing") and part commentary/news about the future of employment (gig economy, automation, etc.)
I've narrowed down my name search to two options: OccupationEvolution.com, or OccEvo.com.
Note: I've already registered both domains, so nobody can snipe them and try to resell them to me haha!
Overall, I like the name Occupation Evolution, but as a domain it's a bit long. I'm not in love with OccEvo.com, but it's certainly shorter and maybe more brandable. If I go with OccEvo.com, I'll keep OccupationEvolution.com and forward it to OccEvo.
Since many readers here would likely be part of my future target audience, I wanted to get your opinions!

I didn't choose a "self employment" related domain because I wanted to cover more than just self employment options. I looked for "work" related domains, but everything is taken.

"occupation" is an awkward mouthful of a word. I'd avoid it strictly because it doesn't fall trippingly on the tongue.
I honestly think the suggested ones you have so far are stodgy/corporate and awkward and too... meh. They don't appeal at all, and I would expect the writing style from that sort of name to be something that I would not enjoy reading.
What's wrong with your name you registered here: Freelance To Freedom? It says exactly what you need it to say, description wise it's pretty clear the type of content you'd be getting, and it has a bit more whimsy to it than the other one.
