Good to invest in Indian Market Indexes?
« on: March 08, 2023, 04:25:08 PM »
India is an emerging country transitioning from 3T to 5Trillion economy and predicting to have massive bullish run manifold in the next 20-30 years.  I think USA Market takes many years to reach life time highs and aggressive growth, with lot other developments happening around (Dedollarization, Inflation, Balance sheet debts etc) . With that in view, wondering if it is wise to invest in Indian Market Indexes (NIFTY BANK, Financials etc), in addition to VTSAX?

If so, are there any funds available to invest in such Indian market indexes from USA?

Why not invest in Emerging markets instead. You will get better diversification.

India has great prospects 20-30 years. But also it many risks. Volatile foreign exchange risk, systemic corruption, political risk and it is surrounded by enemies.

If you live in India and spend Indian money I think it will work out for you.
