Elder care -- Long Term Care policy question
« on: October 13, 2020, 09:00:45 AM »
Mom has a LTC policy that she's been paying into for decades (prob 30 or 40 years)
She has paid in as much as the max benefit that she can receive.  We're going to try to start taking some benefits (home health care one or two days per week).
Is there any point in continuing to pay on this policy?  We can't seem to get a straight answer.

Do you need to continue making payments in order to keep the policy active? Depending on how it's structured, you may not, but clarify. The policy documents should have something about nonpayment.
