So, EFG sells extended car warranties. As best as I can tell these are not very good and I certainly would not recommend them to anyone. A lot of frustrated consumers are stuck with these pieces of ... (google it).
So, anyway, here is my question. I purchased a used 2012 vehicle with 108,000 miles. The seller purchased a EFG 10yr/120K miles extended warranty on this car and can transfer it to me. I have 30 days to decide and the transfer would cost $50 and (in theory) buy me 12K miles of warranty. The original owner never had to use the warranty.
On the one hand it appears like a no-brainer for $50, but frankly it may cost me more then $50 of aggravation, time and annoyance if I want to use the warranty and they start playing games with me.
So, fellow mustachians, would you pay to transfer the warranty?
