Does anyone recommend a high cash back credit without FTF?
« on: February 25, 2014, 11:43:42 AM »
I'm looking for alternatives to the Capital One QuickSilver card that offer a high cash back rewards and no Foreign Transaction Fees.

Ideally I am looking for the same 1.5% cash back or better, it needs to be Visa/MasterCard.

Not looking for other types of rewards only cash back.

Thanks,
-Mister FancyPants

I have the Fidelity AmEx, it is an AmEx...
I'm looking for a Visa/MasterCard per the original post.

And the Fidelity AmEx deposits to a Fidelity account not a Schwab account

Checkout the Barclaycard Arrival Mastercard. It's best for travel, but still very good for cash back/statement credits. It's my primary card. http://www.barclaycardarrival.com/premium-travel/?campaignId=1729&od=bcarrival&cellNumber=44

Yup. And we haven't even mentioned the $400 signup offer. $440 if used on travel.

Another vote for the Arrival World Mastercard. You can get 2.222% back on all purchases. You have to "redeem" for travel purchases (airfare, car rentals, or hotels) but basically it is just a statement credit.

So step 1: acquire 2 points per dollar spend on anything.
Step 2: buy at least one plane ticket, car rental, or hotel
Step 3: Assign points to that purchase to get a statement credit
Step 4: get 10% of redeemed points back to use on the next "travel" expense

So if you ever have "travel" expenses on the card, it works as a 2.222% cash back on all purchases card. If you don't have travel purchases, you can only get straight up 1% cash back.

Also the $440 signup offer is one of the better ones going right now.
