Costco Travel for cruises
« on: April 10, 2017, 05:48:50 AM »
I would like to purchase my next cruise using Costco Travel.  I am planning a cruise to Alaska for June 2018.  I have read some of the reviews of Costco Travel and it sounds very appealing.  However, I would like to solicit any feedback (positive or negative).  This would be my third cruise.  Thanks in advance.

I have used Costco Travel for years, including a cruise, several vacation packages and car rentals.  Their prices are good and I have always received first class service from them.  I would highly recommend them.

We used it for one last year, it worked well but I don't have a lot of comments on it. We got some costco cash which is always useful!

Rayt, have you considered traveling in some other way than cruising?  Actually going to a place and experiencing it on the ground for a while (rather than brief, curated stops in ports) can add a lot to one's travel experience.
I don't want to derail your thread here, just want to make sure you've considered a more immersive type of travel. I realize it's not for everyone.

Hi, Louisville.  In regards to your reply, I defaulted into cruising when the other forms of transportation didn't work out for me.  Personally, I like having a cabin and the ship takes me from place to place without the headache of packing and unpacking.  Everyone has their likes and dislikes.  Thanks for your suggestion, though.
