My employeer just started offering a college tuition benefit through Guardian. I don't have much information on it besides what I was told by my boss, which is...if you sign up each year you are employed you will get 2000 points, which equal $1 a point. Then when you, your children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews go to college they can get this scholarship money as long as they go to a participating college. Apparently its no cost to the employer or employee. Does anyone have any experience with this type of benefit? I was told we are able to participate in it because we are a nonprofit human service provider. They have someone coming to "talk" with us in a few weeks, and I think we are encouraged to sign up that day. I went on their website collegetuitionbenefit.com but didn't get much info. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.
