I want to sign up for BofA CC $200 cash reward bonus offer when you spend $1,000 but read they deny application if you not a pre existing customer, anyone have any luck with this?

Ive been shot down by them... they deny people who open more than a couple or three other cards a year.
If you want to churn CC bonuses, go for the two chase $200 on $500 options.
also:
www.doctorofcredit.com
keeps up with all CC and bank bonuses.

I got a few cards from them several years ago, then could not get approved for any more, in spite of following their velocity rules. I took an offer to open a checking account (I got a $300 bonus for doing direct deposits from work), and just last month I was approved for a new BoA card for the first time in 2 years!
Definitely read the Doctor of Credit posts about BoA first.

I already read DoC and wanted to confirm, I want to sign up for the checking account but it seems tough to fake DD, I wonder if I open a savings account if they'll approve me for the credit card? And I'm already over at Chase's 5\24 rule
