Beginner Tax Question
« on: April 10, 2015, 01:56:49 PM »
Hi everyone,

I've recently been acquainted with the idea that I should not get a tax refund at the end of the year. I've always claimed single 0.

How do I figure out what to claim in order to not get a refund, but not owe taxes either?

Details: I amd 25, make $40k gross, and just got married. I won't have any deductions besides student loan interest. I am making a $100 a month contribution to my 401k. I want to concentrate on paying off my student loans first, and the employer match is independent of how much I contribute.
