Besides a friend's garden that has rose hips we've been thinking of making tea with, I've not heard if other flower hips are edible. Anyone know if jasmine hips are? I've found a lovely free source of them.

What do you mean by Jasmine "Hips" - is it producing seed pods or fruit or what?
True Jasmine (Jasminum officianale) has edible flowers - used for e.g. Jasmine tea. In the US, you have other kinds of plants given the common name Jasmine, but which are an entirely different species (called things like Confederate Jasmine, or Carolina Jasmine, botanically Gelsemium) and these are pretty poisonous. There are some other vines which might get called Jasmine - Stephanotis (Madagascar Jasmine) which produces big avocado-like fruits? Probably best to identify exactly what plant you have before eating.

I have done a lot of research online into unusual edible flowers, and while jasmine tea is a thing, jasmine hips have never come up as an option.

Yeah I didn't think it was a thing, a la rosehips, with tea and such but I wanted to check. They aren't big, avacado things, but really just like rosehips, but on a jasmine bush.
