Anyone Have Luck Selling VHS tapes and DVDs?
« on: January 29, 2019, 07:32:43 AM »
I see lots of DVDs and VHS tapes (played on the old VCRs) for sale on Craigslist. Usually less than $1 each. Rarely some over $5 each.

I posted a bunch of VHS tapes on CL a few months ago, for 25 cents each, and got ZERO response.

I have a ton of both DVDs and VHS.

Just wondering if anyone is actually buying these things, or there's just a bunch of ads out there that no one responds to, lol.

edit to add:  Sorry, didn't realize I have a previous post about this!

I'm impressed you can get $1 each.

I just take these to Half Price Books and take whatever they offer me.  I'm glad to be rid of them in most cases.
If I have good kids ones, I put them on buy nothing project as parents usually want them.

VHS you’ll have to pay someone to take them, or donate them. If it’s a newish DVD or popular movie, you may pull in $1 each. But that’s optimistic. I sold about 50 DVDs last year for $20 and thought I did well. Pretty sad!
