Title: Anyone have a Citizens Access savings account?
Post by: SillyPutty on November 07, 2018, 11:56:58 AM
I saw someone post about the Citizens Access savings account a few days ago, but stupidly didn't ask them any questions about it. Now I'm thinking about opening my own (https://www.citizensaccess.com/home.html).

I have a fair amount of money in savings. I know, I know, I should invest it—but I don't trust the market or the U.S. government right now, and I'm looking to maybe build a house within the next couple years.

Right now my money is in a totally useless .03% savings account, but it looks like I could get 2.25% with Citizens Access. Does anyone else use it? If so, are you happy with it?

(Side note: I also think about paying down my current mortgage with some of my savings (30 yr. at 4.125%), but since we want to build, I don't know if that's the best idea. It's a multi-family investment property, and once we move out, the rent we'll get will pay our mortgage and then some.)
