I've got a small condo with a 26 inch closet space for a stackable electric washer/dryer combo.

Any suggestions for finding something used or otherwise a deal with reasonable longevity? I've heard appliance stores sometimes have used stuff, but this is pretty specific.

Consider just buying the washer and saving 50% right there. Drying racks are cheap.

I used this video as guidance when we chose our washer/dryer last year. The video description has some specific model recommendations, including combo options.

All-in-one units (wash and dry) have been available for decades now in the US, I wonder if they are available on the used market yet. That way you can just wash and line dry per @Zikoris recommendation. or use the drying function when absolutely needed.

We had one of those.  It was wretched, but maybe because it was electric.  It tried to dry the clothes by just making them really hot and the wrinklage was unbelievable..  We usually just put them outside on the line instead.

Try scratch and dent places. You still get the warranty, but can save 30-40%. Most of the major electronics chains have them, but there are also independent ones.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
