Advice on advertising to my demographic
« on: August 07, 2019, 08:00:02 AM »
Hello-- I admit it. I am not the greatest marketer/advertiser but am looking to find creative ways to advertise to the 40-55 year old male who is typically a 'smart' spender. I connect buyers with southern rust free vehicles to help avoid paying new vehicle depreciation and the annoyance of rust on many Midwest and Northeastern vehicles.

Are there any special places someone might have in might to effectively target my audience? Thanks all.

You can do micro targeting with Facebook advertising. The word smart might be too vague though. Facebook is more about targeting to people with certain behaviors.

This is pretty achievable. My recommendation:

  • Create a Google Ads account
  • Create a display campaign
  • Under Demographics, select your target gender and age. Recommend selecting the top couple household incomes as well.
  • Under Placements, enter a list of websites you expect such a person to be reading (could be this one if you like)
  • Under Locations, select your target states.
  • Start testing a variety of ads
