Actual Recipee for happiness
« on: October 22, 2018, 10:14:53 AM »
Hello

I was just wondering, having watched MMM's talk at WDS where he mentions actual requirements for happiness, how you best get these.... I am currently looking for a new job, but I am aware that my current role in a school comes with an amazing community.  How do people find the best ways to find 'communities', 'friends' etc

The recipe is:

Friendship
Freedom
health
meaningful work
Privacy
Community
Philosophy of Life

just interested on people's thoughts

Hey, I have most of these. That meaningful work thing sure would make my life richer and I should work on that. But for now, making money is also important.

I think the easiest way to find communities and friends is to find things that you enjoy, maybe a hobby. Then find others that have that same interest. The way we meet most friends is to find common ground, it could be movies, books, woodworking, classic cars.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
