I was late to post here as I hit $100K net worth last month.
Lo and behold, apparently the housing market is good, as I've just crossed $110K NW, and I while I've made passive investments, it was nowhere near $10K worth, the equity came directly from an increase in the value of our condo.

Age: 33 for myself and Dear Wife, 1.5 yrs for baby daughter
Income: Single income, $85K last year, will possibly break 90K this year due to overtime. IT industry
Savings rate: too embarrassing to mention. Don't worry, I do get the company match, but I'm below the $18K max 401K contribution.
FIRE target: age 53, when daughter is in college.
FIRE asset goal: $650,000 net worth. Retiring in Montenegro, very low cost of living. Withdrawal rate: $25K / yr for 40 years in today's $. 92.5% predicted success rate in FireCalc.

Nice.. And just think, conditions being the same (and assuming you were NOT contributing during this period) you would go from $1M to $2M in the same amount of time..:)
