1/3 seems better than I thought. I have a family member that makes a bundle on Wall Street, and he mentions how most of his coworkers are paycheck to paycheck and many take loans that they hope to pay off with their bonuses.

I like that the article highlights nearly half the respondants flat out admitted they were overspending.  I wonder how much of the other half are in denial.  I chaffed a bit at WaPo's use of the word "some" to describe 44% of a population.
