Ugh. I'll repeat what I've said before: "I swear NY Times trend pieces are written just to discourage people from ever moving to New York."

And why the hell is everything "curated"? Is that just the new word for picking something?

Also, as someone who likes me a good vintage book, "vintage books from Bergdorf’s decorative furnishings floor" is a pretty obnoxious idea.

Also also, just the phrase "luxury fatigue".

Curate, like designer and similar words, sounds luxurious and therefore is worth a higher price.
