Just thought I'd point out this "commuter bike" for sale in Toronto right now... http://www.kijiji.ca/v-road-bike/markham-york-region/commuter-bike/1072156470

Perfect for commuting from one side of the velodrome to the other?

I'd use a TT bike quite happily if I had a long commute without too many lights to stop at.  Not having gearing though pretty much negates the benefits of your aero position.  Disc wheels would be also dumb considering the amount of wind we usually get around here.

Ooh, why so? I've felt stupid for not going for disc brakes (I'm a nervous nelly on steep downhills), so I'd love to feel that I actually, accidentally, chose correctly ;) especially given the horrendous winds we've had in the 905 lately.

D'oh! Never mind--I can entirely see how that weird filled-in wheel would be hellish in the wind.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
