I think this belongs in the "Share Your Badassity" section.

MSRP was $2060, I was able to talk it down to $1440 since it was a 2013 leftover. I also got them to throw in a $350 pro fitting in for free.

VERY interesting in how they do that, 3 hour process using 3D video capture, sensors, etc https://shop.sunrisetri.com/page/1272 apparently getting the fit right can make a HUGE difference.

Haha thanks! I was able to get $600 knocked off the price as well as the pro fitting done.

I am doing my first triathlon this weekend on my mountain bike. After doing more road riding in preparation I figured it would be worth getting something decent off the bat, and have it last forever.

No need to be jealous! I've wanted a non mountain bike for quite some time.

Got into triathlon training and even though I am doing my first tri this weekend on my mountain bike, I look forward to having something that is meant for the open road.

Can't wait till it gets built/fitted.

This brought out my bike lust. Thanks jerk. :)

=D The bikes I see here on LI, NY are insane. I don't know how people spend 5 figures on a bicycle. I was happy to get an entry level carbon bike at a steep discount. Really looking forward to putting miles on it before it snows!

Isn't it crazy when you see a $1K bike being called "entry-level"? Yikes! I had a couple of dual-suspension MTB's in the past and know just how expensive they get. I would routinely see dudes on $2-4K bikes on the trails and think wowie.

Definitely crazy!!

Felt's top line Tri/TT bike MSRP's for $16,999, so the $2069 MSRP is relatively cheap.

10 years ago any full carbon TT/road bike would run $5k+

Definitely doesn't belong in the Wall of Shame! A good, solid bike is necessary when competing in tri's (one of the main reasons I still just run) - this thing will surely help curl the ends of your 'stache! Congrats!

That's a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a triathlon bike.
Don't you realise that $1440 would allow you to add almost a year's worth of a sport channel to your cable package ?

Hope you got fitted before buying, and have a long torso. :)  Felt Tri bikes have a very particular fit that is not for everyone.  Nice bike, economical for a tri bike, and I'll admit I have spent... uh... substantially more... on my tri bike... so no judgment from here!  :)

I ride a Felt road bike, too, I love it and they're a great company.

Can't lie, I'm a little jelly! I snagged a carbon frame a while back and still haven't seen fit to build it up - with a little luck I'll get all in for under a grand, but to do it justice will probably run about the same as you paid. Still trying to decide how important this is to me.

Custom fit and all does make this seem like a great deal.

Whoo! Props to you for this funny, ns. I can't let it pass unremarked upon.

I thought people were going to pile on with other things they'd just put a deposit down on, but not so far, so I guess I'll be that person.

DH and I looked at five potential houses on Saturday. On Tuesday we decided to make a lowball offer on the one he liked best. We were amazed when they accepted within an hour. Wow! It will either become a second home or another rental, wink, wink. And no, our offer wasn't too high. We correctly guessed that the seller just wanted to be rid of it, as it had been overpriced for a year. We offered what it sold for 12 years ago. We know the area, so we know it was a good deal all around. Okay, who else bought something big lately?
