Do You Spend Like Allen Iverson at a Strip Club?
« on: July 03, 2015, 01:11:57 PM »
I came up with this idea for a blog post that basically every one of us is prone to outrageous face punch worthy spending that's no different than Iverson when he would throw $40k around at gentlemen's clubs back when he was still making millions. Specifically he made 200 million over his career, average college grad makes 2 million in a lifetime, so the equivalent stupid spending amount that the media laments for Iverson is the same as the average person spending $400 in a night, which is totally doable. What ways have you seen someone spend hundreds of dollars in a night?

35 years ago I had an inebriated shipmate in the military lose his entire paycheck of $185 betting it all on a game of "Blackjack"  and then tried to slash his wrists with a butterknife. Naturally he didn't even crease his wrists. Embarrassed as hell, he gave up drinking for several months. Not a bad guy, I think he made a career but that could have been horrible if he grabbed a different knife.

Your only interactions so far on this forum have been to promote your blog/book. That's spammy behavior 101, and that's why you've had little response and your links removed most likely.

If you want to share links, add a basic link in your signature (go to your user control panel and set it up) and stop all the self promotion/spammish posting, and become a participating member on the forum. You'd get more out of it ,and probably see some people click over to your link if you conduct yourself in a rational and interesting manner.

AI was also known to never do laundry, he would just buy new clothes in each town. He was also a very terrible tipper.

i didnt know he was a bad tipper, interesting, does anyone have more knowledge on the 32 million trust fund from Reebok other than what I've heard on half being split between him and his ex wife? I'm wondering if his $16 million share is fair game for creditors and anyone else he's presumably turning to now to finance his lifestyle without any significant cash at the present time. Maybe a lawyer would know about the trust part. Like can he pledge future trust income as security for a loan?

These dudes have zero money management... they can have $10 Million or $100 Million... it'll be gone in a few yrs.

Their agents and entourage love them... until the fountain is dry.

Probably the most famous of them,
