Check out this amazing TV on Amazon!

The reviews for this TV are priceless! Definitely and anti-mustachian purchase if I have ever seen one. The customer reviews are where it gets good! hahaha http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-UN85S9-85-Inch-Ultra-120Hz/dp/B00CMEN95U/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I <3 Amazon reviewers.

We got this beauty to replace the bridge's main viewscreen after the last time Sulu traded paint with the Excelsior. And thanks to Spock's idea to gaffer tape the remote to my left-hand armrest on the Captain's chair I can now "mute" Khan whenever he starts ranting about Antares Maelstroms and perdition's flames and what not.....

Though I do have to wonder - if it's controlled with gestures instead of a remote, what if you're squabbling over what to watch?? You could just keep flipping it back and forth with a wave of your hand.

I am actually impressed that such a thing can exist.  Technology sure is amazing sometimes.

But good grief Charlie Brown, even if you did have 40k to drop on audio/visual equipment you could literally add a movie theater to your house instead of this monstrosity.

But... you SAVE $5,002 by buying this TV!!! Plus you get 2% cash back!!1 How is that not a deal? By not buying this you LOSE $5,801.96. I'm going to buy 100 and retire tomorrow.

This concerns me, because when I looked yesterday, there were 3 left.  One has been purchased in the last 36 hours.

Anyone else notice the 84" Toshiba with double the refresh rate costs 27 thousand dollars less? You're paying a huge premium to have that last inch. You could buy three of the Toshibas, and still have enough left over for (what I'd consider) a huge tv.

Hah! I love troll reviews.

The cool thing is, in a couple of years these will be 'affordable'.

I'm typing this from an absolutely stunning 60'' LCD HDTV (a few years old) that you could purchase for less than $1,000 today. (I paid ~1100 3 years ago)

In 1999 one of those 60'' rear projection HDTVs would have been in the 5-digit range.

I did take a walk through Best Buy when I was meeting a friend for dinner, and I did see one of those UHD screens for the first time in person. It really is a step above 1080p but a few years need to pass by before the technology is 1) affordable even for the antimustachian general public and 2) adoption is widespread enough for UHD content to be more commonplace.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
